Because email marketing is still the revenue engine of most businesses, just think how many emails you get with good offers!

If you’re running an online business, brick-and-mortar small business, or any kind of business, you need to stay in touch with your prospects and customers.

As the saying goes, “The money is in the list.”….yes.

Imagine If you lost everything (your website, your blog, your social media accounts) you could still run your business with just an email list because you build up trust, give value and help them with their problems.

Watch video below and I share ‘Why Build An Email List And How’

3 simple areas you need for focus on, Build List, Nurture & Build Trust also serve list and Monetize it.

So we id why you need to build a list, so how?

You can build an email list by creating content that helps people solve their problems, first of all you must have a CRM system ( Customer Relationship Manager ) or an Autoresponder like Aweber which I use both So you can start collecting details.

3 Ways To Build An Email List

How – Social media can allow you to reach new audiences and make new connections. Stay abreast of trending topics that are of interest to your customers and prospects. to encourage people to visit one of the channels where they can sign up for your email list.

Facebook has over 1,8 billion people so imagine having 1% of that 🙂 Use FB live and either do a live feed from your profile, fan page or even in a group where your target audience hang out. Have some fun with it!

Youtube – is a great platform to build email and audience because ‘YouTube has over a billion users–almost a third of all people on the Internet–and every day, people watch hundreds of millions of hours of YouTube videos and generate billions of views’ – Taken from youtube statistics page.

With video you can create an ‘On-Screen Personality’, your voice and on-camera appearance are important to making a connection with your audience.

Are viewers coming back just because your topic is interesting, or because you’ve explained it in a fun way and added some humour?                                                                                                                                             Tip – if you make a small mistake leave it in because it shows that no one perfect. Have some fun!

Have a call to action in the video and description text of your YouTube video allow for your people to find it in search, but be sure to mention your email list and incentive (if you offer one), and link to your website and sign up form.

Blog post and articles are also great because a lot of people like reading to consume the value, with a blog post you can use keywords to be found on google etc.

It easy to share your blog post around social media with share buttons or you can copy your link and use the attractive headline, image with a link in facebook group for example.

With a website/blog, you can share many parts of your life and invite people in, just like your home.

But one big tip which kept me from going live with my old blog IT’S DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT JUST GET IT OUT THERE !!! It took my  3 months when I first started to choose a WordPress theme. Let your mind wonder and jump in!

These are just a few ways to build an email list, you can also use Twitter which I highly recommend but I show you this in a separate blog post so watch out!
