Mentally Burned Out

As you notice I’ve not been active over the past year to 14 months on this blog and I have missed given value and tips to you.

It’s not been easy trying to keep up with things when you’re mentally burned out. Have you ever felt that way? (I like to know in comments below) it’s the worst feeling!

Its a feeling when the alarm rings and you don’t feel like getting up and facing the problems the day throws at you or just doing the daily cores, you let your negitive thoughts get better of you each day.

Every morning or even night before I knew what I needed to do but just coudn’t bring myself to take the correct action because after looking back I was Mentally burned out!

You feel tired of feeling that life is not worth the hassle, tired of feeling that you’re trapped in a place they people don’t understand, tired off something missing, or having anxiety every day ? I Did!!!

What is Burned out ?

Being burne out means feeling empty and mentally exhausted, devoid of motivation, and beyond caring. People experiencing burnout often don’t see any hope of positive change in their situations. If excessive stress feels like you’re drowning in responsibilities, burnout is a sense of being all dried up.d

“A lot of burnout really has to do with experiencing chronic stress,” says Dr. Ballard, who is the head of the APA’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program. “In those situations, the demands being placed on you exceed the resources you have available to deal with the stressors

How to deal with mental burn out ?

First you must identify and expect that your mentally burned out or struggling with life stress.

Identifying the signs of stress

Everyone experiences stress. However, when it
is affecting your life, health and wellbeing, it is important to tackle it as soon as possible. While stress affects everyone differently, there are common signs and symptoms you can look out for and very important you spot this signs:

  • Feelings of constant worry or anxiety
  • Feelings of being overwhelmed
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Mood swings or changes in mood
  • Irritability or having a short temper
  • Difficulty relaxing
  • Depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Eating more or less than usual
  • Changes in sleeping habits
  • Using alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs to relax
  • Aches and pains, particularly muscle tension
  • Feelings of nausea or dizziness
  • Loss of sex drive
  • If you experience these symptoms for a prolonged period of time, and feel they are affecting your everyday life or making you feel unwell, you should speak to your GP.

My Story

As some of you might be aware I’ve struggled with mental health & depression for years on and off, part of it was down to my brain injury I had 22 years ago.

And last 9 years losing my Mother & Father which destroyed us and myself, which is still hard to this day.

The side effects have been bloody trebblie at times and really send me over the edge with mood swings, snapping at loved ones which were the hardest. ……can you relate to any of this? Leave comments if you do.

It took me a long while to understand what was happening and expect it and get help.

I go more into my story, what happened and how to overcoming mental burn, depression in my for–coming product because I really don’t want you to have these periods in your life, because they can really drag you down.

My big give away that can help you is this:

Stop Doing This

“One of the most common and destructive daily habit is to constantly compare your life and yourself to other people and their lives.”

And Do This

Instead of comparing yourself to other people create the habit of comparing yourself to yourself and see if you become a better person than day before , week before  and so on.

This simple tweak will help you so much and your though patten will start changing .

If you got any value from this post I appreciated if you share with others or comment below, I read all comments and reply back.

Until then have an outstanding day

Morning Chris, hope you are well pal?
I’m on sick at the moment with anxiety and stress! Taken time out this week from work to reboot my system, a few things have helped me so far is talking about it.
This is something I have never really done before, I sat down with my wife and son and explained what my mindset was like for me on a daily basis, just for them to have a better understanding of my emotions.

My best mate phoned on Sunday and we also had a good chat which helped.

Yesterday another friend phoned me out of the blue to ask for something work related. I said I was off sick with anxiety so he said I will pray for you! So he said a prayer there and then.
I’m not religious in any way but accepted the prayer because he’s a mate.

What I’m trying to say is, there are people around who want to help us when we’re not well, no matter how big or small, rather than bottling our emotions up in our minds.

    Keep well pal
    Stuart. X
